Recent Crash at London Southend Airport

📌 What Happened

On Sunday, July 13, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m. local time, a small Beechcraft B200 Super King Air crashed just moments after takeoff from London Southend Airport, located about 56 km (35 mi) east of central London

The aircraft belonged to Zeusch Aviation, a Dutch operator, and was equipped with medical-transport systems. It had flown from Athens to Croatia earlier, then to Southend, and was headed back to Lelystad in the Netherlands

Witnesses described the aircraft banking sharply, inverting, and crashing nose-first, producing a massive fireball and thick black smoke

Response & Impact

London Southend Airport operations were suspended indefinitely, with all incoming and outgoing flights cancelled while emergency services and investigators remained on site

Essex Police labeled it a serious incident, with a cordon established and nearby facilities (like a golf and rugby club) temporarily evacuated as a precaution

Multiple ambulances, rapid‑response vehicles, and air ambulance units were dispatched to the scene .
